Notes: Started by voting, then sampling Yamibo episode 1 (CR) since basically nobody but Arthur remembered it). We had plenty of shows at 3 votes, almost enough at 4, so our guideline was to aim for re-sampling 3-vote shows that the Friday folks hadn’t seen yet. We then moved on to High Card episode 1 (CR). Stevezilla had voted for Chillin’ in My 30s… and Gene wasn’t voting, so we held off on re-sampling that. We then moved on to Nier:Automata Ver 1.1a ep 1 (CR). Most of the shows Steve voted for (and all the ones he really wanted - see highlighted capital “X”s in the table below) end up on Fridays. Some samplers on each night. Notes: Hulu’s presentation of Summer Time Render isn’t good - the “subtitles” are closed captions, and at first they were desynched from AV by the better part of a second. So our best bet is to download fansubs and plan to watch them, or at least have them as a fallback. We were able to resolve the desynch by reloading the page (I think it was Arthur who suggested that - he hypothesized that the MA rating/warning that Hulu inserted before the episode was just about the same length as the delay). However, the desynch recurred on the 2nd episode of the night without another warning. We bailed halfway through The Sacrificial Princess and The King of Beasts, but ended up much more satisfied with the relative insanity of The Marginal Service (at least for the last few minutes of the first episode).
