Our Fall planning looked a bit like this:
This season combines a lack of usable weekends with an extraordinary number of shows to sample (45 timeslots worth before this weekend’s showings!), so our schedule is a bit more sparse than usual. We swapped out simulcasts of Jujutsu Kaisen S2 and Ancient Magus’s Bride S2 part 2 for Dr. Stone and Spy x Family. Depending on how quickly we get through samplers, we might be able to get in a few features beyond what we watch on the Christmas and New Year’s weekends. We’ve specifically set aside time for features needed to complete Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and Attack on Titan, and given ourselves spare timeslots to move things around for them. Fridays

Notes: Despite what Adam said in his Friday email, he was around for our first show before he had to take off. Sampler-wise: we bailed on 16-bit Layer less than 10 minutes in; it seemed to be waiting too much time on setup rather than going anywhere interesting during that time. We also gave up on Our Dating Story after just about 9 minutes; the main character had scarcely any personality and was just too pathetic. We finished Stardust Telepath and Good Night World, but still had enough time for an extra episode, so we watched 7-8 of Level One Demon Lord and One-Room Hero. Week 5 Fewer samplers than usual this week because we were transitioning shows: on Friday, finishing the 1st half of Helck and starting Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 3 (which has a double-length 1st episode); and on Saturday finishing The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and starting the 2nd half of My Hero Academia season 6. Opinions on those 2 shows were obviously pretty low. Opinions on our other samplers seemed to be mixed (for Akuma Kun) or worse (Protocol: Rain). Week 7 Thanksgiving weekend! Notes: We tried watching Aim for the Ace, but lots of folks (David, Arthur, Brian) all hated it, so we bailed after 30 or 40 minutes. We ended up switching over to Gunbuster episode 1 on Crunchyroll (after resolving some technical issues - browser hardware acceleration was messing with us, even though it didn’t on My Hero Academia earlier in the evening). Week 8 LA Comic Con is this weekend, running Friday 4-9, Saturday 9:30 - 7, and Sunday 9:30 - 5. And that's all we can tell about their schedule without downloading a phone app - they don't list that information on their website. Tickets are approximately $50 per day, $100 for the whole weekend. We dropped Aim for the Ace last Saturday and replaced it with Gunbuster. So we're continuing with Gunbuster, but we aren't aiming to binge the rest of it as quickly as possible - that gives us time for another feature this Saturday. On Friday, we get a few more samplers this week and next.
