Pasadena Cartoon and Anime Society

We're a mostly-anime club that usually meets in the Pasadena area Friday and Saturday evenings. Currently we're doing hybrid showings, both in-person for fully COVID-vaccinated folks at members' homes, and online via our Discord server. Our showings usually run 6:30 - 10:30 Pacific Time.

Summer 2025, week 7

Todaybor Day is Labor Day! Oh wait, that's Monday - correct weekend, at least. There are a number of things going on this weekend:

• Anime Impulse Orange County Saturday 8/30 and Sunday 8/31 at the Anaheim Convention Center
• Gateway 2025 (one of the three annual board/TTRPG events under the Strategicon banner) Friday 8/29 - Monday 9/1 at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport
• Kinokuniya Member Sale (20% off everything in-store, runs Monday 9/1 - Sunday 9/7). Note that the Kinokuniya Little Tokyo location still hasn't reopened in its new location - that's now apparently scheduled for "early 2026" - but they do have a pop-up store running near the Metro station on 7th street, albeit without Japanese-language books at this time.

(Next weekend seems more interesting: it features the return of Anime Lockdown)

As for us: Dan Da Dan season 2 takes its place on the Friday schedule, pushing Dr. Stone after the break. Because of our compressed season, we're going to have a few weeks with 3 episodes of Dan Da Dan instead of 2.
